The 2017 Harvest Moon Regatta Race Committee has announced that that this year the Bacardi Racing Fleet will scored using ORC-Club and that all Bacardi Fleet racers will be required to submit a valid ORC-Club rating certificate to be eligible. In order to obtain a certificate, you should do the following as soon as possible: · Go to the ORC website at www.orc.org and make an application. · You will receive a “TEST” certificate and instructions on how to make payment. · Ratings will be based on the design parameters of the boat · After your payment has been processed, you will receive an email with a valid racing certificate. · Measurement of the boat is not required. However, after receipt of the certificate, you may elect to have the displacement measured (via freeboard measurements, see the link for information of the measurement process). We believe that measurement may be beneficial to older, heavy displacement boats. Any change in the boat’s parameters discovered during measurement will be forwarded to ORC, and a revised certificate will be issued. · To have a boat measured, contact the committee at phrfgb.com |
